Job Description:

LiveData is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, hands-on Cloud Technical Lead for our SaaS Cloud Engineering team. You should have solid AWS and Python skills, and be comfortable in a small company. Most importantly, be ready to make a big impact!

LiveData engineers develop surgical planning and coordination solutions that allow surgeons and hospitals to accurately plan, then safely perform surgery. Our solutions leverage the intricacies and relationships of day-of-surgery data to optimize hospital staff and resources for the most efficient and safest patient surgical journey. This allows hospitals and surgery centers to leverage their most profitable resource: the Operating Room (OR) suite. 

Using AWS technology, we’ve built our perioperative system of engagement to seamlessly interface with major Electronic Health Records (EHRs) to offer OR staff the best possible user experience for capturing and communicating perioperative documentation. LiveData affords nurses time to do what they do best: provide unparalleled day-of-surgery patient care, while addressing their growing EHR documentation burden. 

  • Provide technical leadership in all aspects of software development
  • Contribute to cloud-natice architecture in collaboration with the company's CTO
  • Enhance communication/strategy across teams,including product owners, dev-ops, engineers, and analysts to improve production efficiencies
  • Own KPI reporting: setting expectations and accomplishing agreed team goals
  • Ensure code and related assets meet/exceed security, compliance, and audit standards
  • Exceptional Agile/Scrum management abilities, from budgeting, development initiatives, scrum teams and ceremonies, etc
  • Embrace and extend a software development lifecycle with agile development, test automation, integration/delivery (CI/CD)
  • Partnering with the Product team, executing product increments and releases, and maintaining a technical roadmap
  • Facilitate technical meetings with partners/3rd party vendors, and internal strategy sessions with all levels of the company from executive to scrum team

This role can be on-site, hybrid, or fully remote, but with a preference for local candidates.

Skills, Experience & Education Needed:

Required:

  • 3+ years of technical leadership
  • 5+ years of Python Software development experience
  • Hands-on coding and architecture experience
  • Technical depth with AWS Serverless solutions - (CDK, Lambda, ECS Fargate, boto3, AWS CLI, AWS SDK)

Preferred:

  • As many as possible of the remaining technical stack including Microservices written in REST including Swagger, NoSQL & SQL Databases, JavaScript, React, HTML, GitHub, Docker, JIRA, & Confluence
  • Startup experience (early-stage preferred!)
  • Prior experience in a high-growth start-up environment in the healthcare field.
  • Prior hospital healthcare domain experience and interest in healthcare are plusses.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s level degree (or equivalent) in computer science.
  • Knowledge of modern DevOps technologies (e.g. Docker, CloudFormation, CDK, TerraForm)
  • Experience with continuous integration development using Git
  • FedRAMP and/or other cybersecurity certification experience
