CAMBRIDGE, Mass., July 10, 2017 – LiveData, Inc., a leader in real-time integration and display technology for healthcare, today announced Walter MacIntire Whitehouse, Jr., M.D. has joined the company’s Advisory Board. Dr. Whitehouse is currently executive consultant, Trinity Health, Livonia Michigan.
Before accepting the executive consultant position with Trinity Health, Dr. Whitehouse served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at St. Joseph Mercy Health System (SJMHS); Medical Director, Department of Surgical Services SJMHS; and Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Michigan Medical School.
As system chair in surgical services, Whitehouse helped guide the implementation of LiveData healthcare IT solutions in operating rooms at SJMHS’s Ann Arbor facility. “LiveData has shown itself to be a leader in providing perioperative solutions that improve team communication, workflow, and patient safety,” said Whitehouse. “I welcome the opportunity to contribute my knowledge to continue developing real-time workflow solutions to manage patient surgical care.”

Whitehouse graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1973. He subsequently completed his General Surgery training at University of Michigan Medical Center in 1978 and his Vascular Surgery Fellowship training at the University of Chicago. He joined the faculty at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in 1985, and was recently honored with the Walter M. Whitehouse, Jr., MD Endowed Chair, Department of Surgery, St. Joseph Mercy Health System.
