LiveData was an early developer of real-time integration software, utilizing available object-oriented technology. Initial projects included automobile plant automation applications for General Motors. In 1995, GM Europe utilized LiveData and RFID to track work processes on the floor.
In 2004, LiveData developed its newest generation of software and established a leadership position in smart integration technology. LiveData RTI was built on the core real-time integration architecture, adding a real-time application server, executive dashboards, and data historian functionality. LiveData RTI was introduced at the CIGRE Exhibition in Paris.
That same year LiveData was invited to become part of the Center for Integration of Medicine & Innovative Technology (CIMIT) Operating Room of the Future project at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. The U.S. Army Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) issued a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award to LiveData to fund this pioneering development work which resulted in LiveData OR-Dashboard.
OR-Dashboard integrates patient data from electronic medical record (EMR) systems, anesthesia systems, and physiological devices with automated surgical workflow to provide surgical teams continually updated information on wall-mounted dashboards. OR-Dashboard also displays the World Health Organization (WHO) surgical safety checklist as an interactive, electronic tool to improve patient safety.
Today OR-Dashboard is part of LiveData PeriOp Manager, a fully-integrated suite of modules that coordinate teams throughout the perioperative suite. Leading academic medical institutions, community hospitals, healthcare systems, and Veterans Health Administration facilities across the country use LiveData PeriOp Manager to improve patient safety, team communication, and perioperative efficiency.
Our healthcare solutions are part of the innovative real-time integration products developed by LiveData, Inc. LiveData is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
