  • At the annual conference of The Society for Technology in Anesthesia [STA], Jeff Robbins will lead a discussion on "The Meaningfully Engaged Time Out" on Jan. 11 at 3:30pm. His presentation will discuss team engagement in surgical time outs, integrating time outs into surgical workflows and hospital medical records, and reporting compliance to meet Joint Commission and CMS standards.

  • As part of its role in encouraging the development of innovations in technology, STA holds an annual Engineering Challenge, open to engineering students at all levels. This year's challenge was to devise a smartphone app for a patient safety time out. STA has assembled industry experts, including LiveData CEO Jeff Robbins, to assess this year's entries.
