CAMBRIDGE, Mass., June 5, 2006 – LiveData, Inc., leading innovator of smart integration technology, today announced that Ronald C. Lambert has joined the company as Senior Engineer, Professional Services. In his position, a new one for the company, Lambert will focus on supporting LiveData’s growing customer base in the Electric Power industry, where he has more than a decade of experience in development, integration, and support. Lambert comes to LiveData from SPL World Group, where he was lead systems and application integration engineer for the provider of electric utility outage management systems.
“The addition of Ron Lambert signals the growing importance of the electric power industry to LiveData, and to the country,” said LiveData CEO Jeff Robbins. “Ron’s experience in this industry, his technical skills and market insight will prove invaluable in our continuing commitment to providing high quality consulting and support for our customers.” Power companies and utilities worldwide rely on LiveData software to monitor and control their operations. “LiveData's present and future customers share a common need: to bring together all of the data relevant to a given operation, make sense of it, and take necessary actions as quickly as possible,” said Lambert. “The dynamic state of the power industry and LiveData’s approach to smart integration make this an exciting time for both, and I welcome the opportunity to be working with such an industry leader.”
Advancing the real-time integration architecture it has developed over the past 14 years, LiveData’s LiveData RTI Release 5.0 marks the first in a new category of technology called smart integration.
Smart integration empowers users to utilize the data and applications they need. Completely non-intrusive, smart integration leverages all of the available and relevant resources without affecting operational systems installed at great cost over many years.
LiveData software delivers real-time data for a wide range of mission-critical applications. Products like the company’s ICCP Server and RTI Server understand the applications that monitor and control operations in the electric power industry (SCADA, DCS, EMS, OMS) and how to flow data to and between them, across all major public and proprietary protocols (such as ICCP/TASE.2, OPC, DNP3, IEC 61850, Modbus, Allen-Bradley and PG&E).
