At this point, the team is preparing to carry out the Joint Commission mandated timeout procedure and other tasks associated with the “Briefing” phase just prior to surgery. Display of Antibiotic Data As soon as the information is recorded, the following data appears in the dashboard Progress Log: - Name of antibiotic
- Dosage
- Time of Administration
Timer Upon documentation, a timer is also shown, indicating how much time has elapsed since the last dosage. This is particularly useful for long surgeries, when an additional administration may be required. Reminder: Missing Documentation If antibiotic administration was not documented prior to the start of surgery, a notification is posted on the dashboard's Critical Information panel. This remains on display until the antibiotic information is recorded or the case ends. |
